Organic Stained Glass

Why is this called an “organic” glass class? The answer is in the technique.

Traditionally, a design or pattern is chosen first. Glass is then picked that best represents the design.  

Once this is done, the glass is cut & constructed to match the original pattern.

In this class, the student chooses the glass first. It is already cut into various shapes and sizes requiring very little cutting. There is no pattern to follow. The pieces are then arranged into a design that grows creatively, naturally & intuitively. The complete process allows the student to create something organically without the aid of a preconceived idea or design.
